Hong Kong Drug Office Publishes Latest Guidance for Import and Export Licences

Hong Kong Drug Office has published an updated guidance document for the application of import and export licences for pharmaceutical products and medicines in December 2021. 

The applications for these licenses can be submitted online via the Pharmaceuticals Licence Application and Movement Monitoring System (“PLAMMS”). Applicants are required to register as a user for PLAMMS and should obtain the relevant trader licenses. For example, Antibiotics Permit, Wholesale Dealer Licence, Licence for Manufacturer of Pharmaceutical Products, Wholesale Dealer’s Licence to Supply Dangerous Drugs or Licence to Manufacture Preparations of Dangerous Drugs. 

There is no fee for some applications such as import licence Form 3, export licence Form 6 covering pharmaceutical products and medicines, import and export authorizations covering controlled chemicals.
